Position Overview:
The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Trust Roofing’s repair and service operations. This includes managing the day-to-day work of the service technician team, coordinating repairs and maintenance projects, ensuring quality control, and acting as the key point of contact for customers with active service needs.
This role is ideal for a proactive, organized professional with a strong sense of ownership, a passion for customer service, and a background in residential or commercial roofing.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of in-house service technicians.
- Assign daily service tickets, monitor productivity, and ensure timely completion of
repairs. - Lead weekly service team meetings to review workload, job performance, and customer
feedback. - Conduct job site visits to verify work quality and coach technicians as needed.
- Manage intake, scheduling, and execution of all service and repair requests.
- Troubleshoot issues remotely and determine scope of repair prior to dispatch when
possible. - Maintain accurate service documentation, including diagnostics, repair notes, materials used,
and
before/after photos. - Coordinate with the Production and Sales teams to ensure seamless handoffs between installation
and service. - Serve as the primary contact for service clients; ensure issues are addressed quickly and
professionally. - Communicate repair timelines, costs, and warranty details to homeowners.
- Provide recommendations for long-term solutions and upgrades when appropriate.
- Follow up with clients after job completion to ensure satisfaction and request reviews.
- Implement and enforce Trust Roofing’s repair policies and quality control standards.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
- Track KPIs including job turnaround time, technician efficiency, client satisfaction, and repeat
service rates. - Work with finance to ensure accurate billing and cost reporting.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in roofing, construction, or service operations management.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to de-escalate customer concerns effectively.
- Tech-savvy; proficient in service or CRM software (experience with JobNimbus a plus).
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Preferred
- Prior experience managing a roofing service or repair team.
- Working knowledge of roofing systems: shingles, tile, TPO, metal, and modified bitumen.
- Experience reading scopes, job tickets, and construction documentation.
