Trust Roofing FAQs
How do I know when to replace my roof?
Age is the number one factor. Asphalt shingles in Florida usually start to experience their first failures starting at the 17-20 year mark, metal and tile roofs can last longer but require maintenance past that time frame as well. To determine age you can look at city permit records, you can also look at the roof for granular loss, blown/missed shingles, nails popping/rusted, broken/cracked tiles. If you’re not sure whether or not your roof needs to be replaced we offer free inspections and will carefully examine the roof and recommend maintenance, repairs or replacement depending on what factors we find.
